Dan said: The survey is called "Primary Sources: America's Teachers on America's School," and if it's correct, teachers in the U.S. are more interested in student achievement than boosts in their paychecks. Harris Interactive surveyed a whopping 40,090 K-12 teachers, and found that many "value non-monetary rewards, such as time to collaborate with other teachers and a supportive school leadership, over higher salaries."
