Ok Seriously, What Is Yahoo?
Lauren Michell Rabaino said: Arrington compares Bartz's definition of Yahoo alongside Armstrong's definition of Aol. Bartz rambles for four minutes, Armstrong has a concise, one-line response. Seriously, Carol, you need to get your elevator pitch down.
Kiss Cam moments at Staples Center tell you a lot about L.A.
In a town where everything is supposedly disposable, no Kiss Cam moment is cheered louder than a smooch between an elderly couple. In a town that supposedly doesn't trumpet family values, the second-loudest cheers occur for the forehead pecks of a parent on a child.
Is location-based social networking practical in spread-out Los Angeles?
Lauren Michell Rabaino said: Sure, it's not the same experience as it would be in NYC, but LA doesn't want to be NYC anyway. Just like any other part of society, this particular networking experience is going to vary based on location. I'm not concerned.
Angelenos tend to spend too much time in a location we don't want to be, driving to a location we're trying to reach, along with a bunch of other people fighting to do the same.

I was inspired by the 82nd Airborne's version of "Telephone," so I made an NPR spoof. If you like Robert Siegel and Nina Totenberg, you're gonna love this. -Shereen Marisol Meraji, Producer, All Things Considered
Facebooks' early days: Fencing, puking, punking Sequoia - May. 6, 2010
Lauren Michell Rabaino said: Insight into the startup days of Facebook, when Zucks would hold his friends hostage in their home/office in Palo Alto until they were done coding for the night.
Thoughts on Flash
Lauren Michell Rabaino said: I love Jobs' rant on Flash, partially because it's the first time I can personally recall seeing any sort of transparency on Apple's behalf. But the whole spill about "openness" seems really hypocritical coming from Apple, considering how not-open their App store is. Hrm.
