Jeremy is a doctoral student at the University of Southern California, where he studies marine environmental biology and public policy. His research interests include biogeochemistry, climate change, trace metal chemistry and pollution. He currently writes about science & technology and politics for TreeHugger , VentureBeat , The Huffington Post and Science Progress and has been a frequent contributor to Discover Magazine.

He obtained his bachelor's degree in marine biology from UCLA. He is also an avid follower of politics and current events and spends most of his spare time reading blogs or watching Comedy Central."
